As one of the few ruggedized handheld terminals in the industry that can be equipped with Windows, the GZ-H61J can be regarded as a truly technical and capable user. 


6.5-inch equipped with Windows system, IP67 protection level, 1.5 meter drop, heat dissipation and battery life advantages......


So how to implement these functions of GZ-H61J? How does Genzo do it? Not much to say, let's reveal them one by one below.


01


6.5 inches equipped with Windows system

Structure, software and hardware go hand in hand, and there is no limit to innovation.


The 6.5-inch screen of the GZ-H61J is equipped with the Windows 10 operating system as standard. 


However, most technicians in the industry believe that screens of 8 inches and below are not allowed to run Windows 10. 


In fact, this is inaccurate. As long as devices with 6.5-inch and 8-inch screens meet the hardware configuration of Windows 10 system requirements such as CPU, memory, 


storage, and system firmware, Windows 10 can be successfully installed. 


The only problem is that the UI display may be abnormal. However, after testing and practice, the 6.5-inch GZ-H61J and other 8-inch ruggedized tablets 

developed by Genzo can successfully use Windows 10 systems without any abnormal UI display problems.

In addition, the 6.5-inch size is also a big challenge for the overall structural layout and circuit board design of GZ-H61J. 


Therefore, Genzo Structure and the hardware team worked hand in hand. The hardware used a 10-layer circuit board, which greatly increased the area that can be routed. 


The structure made reasonable use of the internal space layout and highly matched the size of the circuit board. Finally, it was easy to assemble and strengthened the structure. Overall solidity.

IP67 protection level

Comprehensive solution to break through the problem of waterproofing effect


IP level is one of the important properties of ruggedized handheld terminals. It is much more difficult to cross from IP65 protection level to IP67 protection level. 


So how does GZ-H61J achieve IP67? 


First, the joint between the front and rear shells of GZ-H61J is sealed with a waterproof ring to improve the sealing performance of the shell joint surface. Then a sunken waterproof interface plug is used to seal the interface, and a dispensing process is used at the side buttons. 


The joint between the soft rubber on the inside of the button and the shell is fixed to solve the waterproof problems such as seams and holes in the outer area of the device and integrate it into one.

GZ-H61J also uses a sealing method for the removable battery. A silicone ring is used at the junction of the battery and the battery compartment for sealing. After the battery body is placed in the battery compartment, the silicone ring is pressed tightly to achieve an excellent waterproof effect. 


Finally, the GZ-H61J rear case fan is a waterproof fan and is completely isolated from the internal circuit board, so it will not affect the overall IP protection level.

1.5 meter drop

Stable structural design and proper detail control


Everyone must know the 1.22-meter drop standard of MIL-STD-810, so what has been upgraded in the 1.5-meter drop resistance standard of GZ-H61J this time?

The iterative upgrade of the GZ-H61J drop performance is mainly reflected in the material, manufacturing process and structural design. 


The material of GZ-H61J is PC+TPU. 


The whole machine is made of PC engineering plastic material. It is then covered with a layer of TPU rubber material on the four sides through two-color injection molding. 


It replaces the original all-PC material and can achieve stronger drop resistance. At the same time, when the embedded hardware bracket is deployed behind the screen, 

the in-mold injection molding process is used. 


The hardware bracket and the front shell are integrally formed, and the circuit board is then fixed on the hardware bracket through screws. 


Compared with no bracket and the bracket and the front shell are separated, In the detachable case, the upgraded structure and technology provide better support 


and stability to the whole machine.


In addition, the design and features such as small size, four-corner anti-fall, and thickened bottom case are also the core of the GZ-H61J's   

1.5-meter drop resistance standard, so everyone can experience it with confidence.

Thermal advantages

High performance, small size technical challenges


As a 6.5-inch rugged handheld terminal equipped with Intel® Celeron® N5100 processor, GZ-H61J needs to be able to achieve good heat dissipation under high performance and small size to ensure the normal operation of the device and protect performance. Therefore, Genzo directly adopted an active cooling system of heat sink + fan + fins, and optimized it many times until it achieved the best balance of performance and effect.

Specifically, Genzo uses heat sinks to completely cover the main components such as the CPU to expand the heat exchange area and export heat from high-temperature areas more evenly. It also uses "fan + fin" area heat dissipation, using fans to inlet air and fins to outlet. Wind, greatly enhances the exchange of cold air flow and hot air flow, and comprehensively improves heat dissipation performance. Among them, the heat sink fills the gap between the core components and the heat dissipation system, and is sealed with waterproof glue, so that the waterproof performance can also be improved to an innovative level.

In addition to hardware improvements, Genzo also uses the PWM function in the cooling fan to make heat dissipation more efficient and smarter. GZ-H61J can dynamically adjust the duty cycle of the PWM fan according to the motherboard or CPU temperature, thereby obtaining different output voltages to control the fan speed. 


Among them, the duty cycle range set by GZ-H61J is 30%-90%. When the temperature is 0℃-50℃, the duty cycle is 30%. When the temperature is 47℃-55℃, the duty cycle is 37%. And so  on.

Battery life advantage

How to extend battery life in Windows


Battery life and power consumption are linked. Everyone must know that although the N5100 equipped with GZ-H61J is a high-performance and low-power processor, 


it is limited to a ruggedized handheld terminal form and 6.5-inch size, and cannot be equipped with a larger capacity Battery, 


so it needs a strong battery life to ensure that it does not fall behind in actual use.

Regarding this part, GZ-H61J finally showed a battery life of more than 6 hours under test conditions by setting the power saving mode and charging threshold 


when the 29.6Wh battery capacity is equivalent. Genzo first set up the power-saving mode. 


When the GZ-H61J is in standby, the CPU immediately enters the power-saving mode. The system will intelligently lower the frequency, 


voltage and other parameters of the CPU core to reduce the CPU power consumption and extend the standby time. 


Another focus is the optimization of charging status. Genzo sets the battery end ambient temperature to be within a specific temperature range before charging

can be performed.


This can maintain battery performance, maximize battery life and capacity, and extend battery life.



Users can also help maximize battery life in Windows by adjusting screen brightness, adjusting power battery settings, adjusting sleep status, etc. during use. 


In addition, Genzo has also set the maximum charging power of the entire machine to 45W to speed up charging efficiency.
